The Benefits Of Having An Outdoor Misting System For Dog Kennels

Misting System Benefits For Dog Kennels

When we think about outdoor misting systems we often think of way to keep ourselves cool. Well what about our four legged friends that stay mostly outdoors? If you think the summer months are uncomfortable for you outside our furry friends have just as much if not more trouble staying cool.

Rising temperatures can be dangerous for animals outdoors and with area’s that have high to moderate humidity it can be even worse. For instance dogs and cats they pant to try and cool their internal temperatures. But in areas where humidity is also high that is not always enough leading to rising body temperatures and the possibility of heatstroke.

Don’t rely simply on a fan Pets respond differently to heat than humans do. (Dogs, for instance, sweat primarily through their feet.) And fans don’t cool off pets as effectively as they do people. Some signs of heatstroke are heavy panting, glazed eyes, a rapid heartbeat, difficulty breathing, excessive thirst, lethargy, fever, dizziness, lack of coordination, profuse salivation, vomiting, a deep red or purple tongue, seizure, and unconsciousness.

So first and foremost don’t rely on your dog getting cool inside his/her dog house (that can actually make it worse). If you have pet’s that are in a kennel outside daily shade is one of the first things to help with keeping them cool. And the best thing you can do for yourself and you animals is to install a mist cooling system.

Now this system can be installed on a patios, kennels, shelters, and more. This will keep any of those areas 20 degrees cooler. With one of our systems you also have the benefit of high pressure mist and what is called “flash evaporation” which virtually means there is no residual moisture left behind…it simply cools the air.

There are so many benefits to a mist cooling system for any type of animal including; household pets, livestock, animal shelters, barns etc. There are virtually no limits to where you can place a misting system, and your animals will thank you.
